How To Get To Arbolado Park

Arbolado Park, with ample parking options, is easily accessible by car.  In addition, there are two large parking lots in Arbolado Park. Another is next to the play structures immediately, while the other makes it easy to reach the large soccer fields.  It’s also easy to get from the nearby residential community by foot, bike or scooter.

So Many Amenities

Arbolado Park is a wide park. There is a place for all to enjoy and something for everyone to do for big and small families. The time at the park will be packed with fun from the open grassy knolls, soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic tables, and play structures.

Grassy Knolls – Arbolado Park

The two play structures are set up in a way that allows children to enjoy appropriate structures in terms of age and size.  One is designated for children aged 2-5 and the larger structure is designated for children aged 5-12. These designs have mild shading and various daunting obstacles to promote adventure and wonder.

If your family enjoys more hoops than playing, there are two full basketball courts in Arbolado Park.   There are a full-court and half-court alternative, four well-maintained hoops, and no reservation or permit requirement.  Arbolado Park also has tennis courts that are exceptionally well-maintained. Such courts are open to the public but can be reserved for classes and activities that are planned.  There is no gear for the tennis courts or the basketball courts outside the house, so come prepared for hours of fun with your own.

A Perfect Place for A BBQ

There are also many picnic tables scattered across the grounds at Arbolado Grounds.  Most table clusters are also available with BBQ grills. No reservations are required again–but on the weekend shaded picnic tables and BBQ areas will fill up quickly.  Arrive early to get the first choice from the tables and grills! Arbolado Park will make a great venue for a birthday party, team building event or family reunion due to the facilities, a large number of tables, open space and plenty of parking.

Family-Friendly Touches At Arbolado Park

This gem of a park in Walnut Creek.  One important characteristic is the well-maintained restrooms.  The various water fountains and hydration stations scattered throughout the park are other handy amenities.  Such water features include water well, a pet drinking station and a refill station for water bottles. This can be a life-saver on hot days! Finally, there’s a massive field in Arbolado Park that’s perfect for soccer, lacrosse, or even flag games.  Organized sports require permitting through the City of Walnut Creek. But, for pick-up games in the park, this is a truly special space.
