Las Lomas High School (LLHS) in Walnut Creek, California, United States, is a public high school. It was established by the Acalanes Union High School District in 1951, and opened its doors to its first graduating class in the fall of 1952. Las Lomas was the second of five schools founded within the District of Acalanes Union High School. It is a conventional high school, serving grades 9-12, and has a legacy of distinction in both athletics and education. The school has a good preparatory college curriculum as well as several extracurricular programmes. The school colors are maroon and gold and Knight is the school mascot. In 2011–12, Las Lomas had 1,482 students. The school has a graduation rate of 96.4 per cent[4] and approximately 97 per cent of its graduates attend college. A.S. In 2013, the Nation ranked Las Lomas # 372 in News & World Report. In 2008 it was named a National Blue Ribbon School.

The primary goal of the Las Lomas Library is to increase the students’ academic curiosity and enhance the school’s educational atmosphere by offering a robust and up-to-date resource center to assist students in college and career preparation.

Encouraging the academic curriculum with a carefully curated, well-balanced set of print and online tools that provide access to information both within and outside the library; cultivating a love of literature; teaching science, technology and digital citizenship skills and encouraging students in their use of research and technology; promoting imaginative and critical thinking.

The library is a place for collaborative learning. They ask that you treat with utmost respect the room, the material, the staff and the students.

They are committed to ensuring an atmosphere conducive to study; during class time students must carry a pass from their teacher’s classroom and sign in at the circulation desk; no food or beverages are allowed, except water bottles with a screw-top; no mobile phones during instructional minutes, per school policy; and all district policies and technology regulations apply.

The Boosters are a non-profit group founded by parents of students from Las Lomas High School. Their aim is to provide financial assistance and help the coaching staff of our student athletes in order to encourage athletic success, a positive community image, and through our fundraising and community donation initiatives to provide competitive programmes.
